Singapore GP's executive director Michael Roche had a vision to make the Formula 1 Paddock Club at the Marina Bay Street Circuit the best in the world.
So, based on customer feedback and experience from previous years, the hospitality suites at the track's headquarters have been given a makeover for this year's event, which runs from Sept 19 to 21.
The result: new suite layouts and enhanced food and beverage options, all with a Singapore twist.
The Paddock Club, which hosts 6,000 VIP guests and celebrities, will feature four restaurants helmed by Michelin-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten - as opposed to one last year.
There will also be a caviar bar, an American steak house, a pizzeria and a tapas eatery.
"It amazes me every year how people can tour the Paddock Club for three days and still not eat everything on offer," Roche said.
"Each year we try to make ours the best Paddock Club in Formula 1... we've decided to change things up from Friday to Saturday. "So that each day provides a different experience, be it what they eat, where they sit and who they sit next to."
The Sky Suite, Club Suite and Green Room have been given an upgrade this year, especially on the culinary front.
Sunil Shamdasani, Singapore GP's director of food and beverage operations, and his team of 21 chefs from seven five-star hotels in Singapore have made significant changes to the menu - opting for a personalised dining experience that is high on creativity.
Sampler-sizes items of crispy quail egg will accompany gourmet highlights such as wagyu beef and duck sous vide.
Said Sunil: "We want to make the food a talking point this year, in addition to the race.
"The menu is no more a Grand Prix menu but a very unique, Singapore one... we want to showcase the best of Singapore in our hospitality suites."
