Football: Brunei DPMM sign Bosnian international Boris Raspudic

SINGAPORE - Brunei DPMM Football Club's latest signing, Boris Raspudic, will be the first Bosnian international to play in the Great Eastern-Yeo's S-League, pending medical and fitness tests.

The 31-year-old defender, who was previously the captain for Bosnia and Herzegovina club FK Borac Banja Luka, scored against Israeli club Maccabi Haifa in the 2011/12 UEFA Champions qualifiers.

Boris also had a 4-year stint in Iran with Tractor Sazi Tabriz FC and Petrochimi Tabriz FC.

Intent to help his new club improve on last year's disappointing season, Boris said: "This club deserves good results and I am here to ensure that they get them next season."

"My ambition for 2014 is to help the club record better results than last year and hopefully, we can mount a serious challenge for one of the top two spots.

I am not very familiar with the other S-League teams but I think we possess a good squad to pose a threat to them."
