BERLIN - Germany captain Philipp Lahm hoisted the World Cup trophy before hundreds of thousands of fans massed at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate Tuesday to celebrate the national side's fourth title.

"What a mood here, thanks so much to everyone," Lahm said as he passed the golden statuette to his fellow players.
