Good finish for OCBC cyclists

The OCBC Singapore Pro Cycling Team finished the final stage of the Tour de Kumano in first place in the General Classification (GC) standings.

Riders Eric Sheppard (seventh), Cameron Bayly (12th) and Thomas Rabou (22nd) finished 10 laps of the 10 km circuit at Taiji Cove with the leading pack, and were all credited with a time of 2:27.48, the same as stage winner Wouter Wippert from the Drapac Professional Cycling Team.

The remaining OCBC Team rider, Low Ji Wen, finished in 57th place (2:35.28).

In the riders' GC standings, Bayly finished third, Sheppard fifth and Thomas Rabou 14th, while Singaporean Low finished 54th.

The Singapore outfit will send one team each for the Tour of Korea and the Tour of Singkarak this week.
