SINGAPORE - His entry was a picture montage, just like the classic British football comic strip, Roy of the Rovers - but with a healthy dollop of Singaporean flavour.
Set in a corridor of a local housing estate instead of Melchester, a full-bearded Ritesh Angural steps up to score a penalty, and his celebration - of shaving his beard - saw him score a big prize.
He won two passes to catch Italian giants Juventus in their final training session ahead of tomorrow's match against a Singapore Selection side, match tickets and an opportunity to present the match ball to the Man of the Match. Ritesh also received invitation to a VIP cocktail function, where he will meet players and staff of the Serie A champions - all as part of "The Best a fan can get" football experience presented by TNP and Gillette.
Stuff Of Dreams
"Juventus, my team coming all the way to Singapore and playing the inaugural game at our spanking new stadium.
"I never imagined for all these years I've been supporting Juventus, that they would come to Singapore. That is the stuff of dreams," said a delighted Ritesh, who like Roy of the Rovers, pulled off what he feels is a massive coup.
"Now you're telling me that I can actually meet the players, talk to them and present the Man of the Match award! No way. This is too good to be true," he said.
"Thank you so much Gillette and TNP. I'm going to remember this for the rest of my life. Truly the best a fan can get!"
