Liverpool draw 1-1 with Malaysia in friendly

KUALA LUMPUR - Liverpool were held to a lacklustre 1-1 draw with the Malaysian Selection on Friday night.

The team led by Dollah Salleh included five foreign players from the Malaysian Super League.

Patrick Ronaldo Wleh opened the scoring for Malaysia before Jordan Ibe equalised for the Merseyside team in the first half.

Liverpool pressed on for a second goal but were hampered by poor finishing.

In their previous pre-season matches so far, Brendan Rogers' team defeated the Thai All Stars 4-0, Brisbane Roar 2-1 and Adelaide United 2-0.

The game on Friday night was played out in front of a half-full Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

This was in contrast to 2011, when the game was played to a full house - Liverpool won 6-3.
