It looked as if their run was set to come to an end, but the Warriors FC dug deep and extended their unbeaten streak to five matches in the Great Eastern-Yeo's S.League when they drew 1-1 with Tanjong Pagar United at the Queenstown Stadium last night.
The match, however, will be remembered for the remarkable red cards flashed at hotheads Shi Jiayi and Asraf Rashid in the 68th minute.
In the second half of what was a fiercely-contested but fair tussle, Tanjong Pagar's Asraf kicked the ball away as Warriors midfielder Jiayi looked to restart proceedings quickly with a throw-in.
Upset at what Asraf did, Jiayi allegedly shouted a vulgar insult at the Jaguars midfielder.
The two then exchanged heated words, and Asraf then lost his cool after Jiayi allegedly insulted his mother, hurling his own insults back.
Referee Mohd Taqi put an end to the confrontation by sending off both players for using vulgar language.
The exchange was confirmed by officials at both clubs.
Asraf was so incensed he squared up to Jiayi again after the two players stepped off the field, and once more just outside the dressing room, before eventually cooling down.
On the pitch, the Jaguars failed to secure a win after going in front, again.
They have scored first three times in seven matches this season, but have not won any of the games.
Their two wins, against Harimau Muda B and the Courts Young Lions, were come-from-behind victories.
