OCBC finish sixth in Tour of Japan

SINGAPORE - The OCBC Singapore Pro Cycling Team wrapped up their Tour of Japan yesterday, with Cameron Bayly and Eric Sheppard finishing among the leading pack in the final stage.

Bayly finished 15th, while Sheppard was 32nd. Both were credited with 2:11:14, together with stage winner Niccolo Bonifazio of Italy's Lampre-Merida Team. Ronald Yeung was 36th.

The remaining three OCBC riders - Jang Chanjae, Low Ji Wen and Thomas Rabou - did not finish Stage 5 of the Tour and thus missed the final stage.

Bayly finished eighth in the General Classification (GC) standings, followed by Sheppard in 18th and Yeung in 32nd.

The Singapore outfit were sixth out of 10 teams, behind winners Tabriz Petrochemical Team of Iran.
