Run for Hope returns in November

SINGAPORE - Registration for Run For Hope 2013 has opened. The run organised by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and Regent Singapore with the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) will be held at Marina Bay on November 17.

Both hotels are celebrating 21 years of supporting cancer research, and hope to hold their largest charity run this year.

Run For Hope is held to raise awareness and support for cancer research.

This will be the sixth year that NCCS is the beneficiary.

Last year, there were more than 10,000 runners who helped to raise close to $450,000.

This year, organisers aim to draw 15,000 participants and achieve a target of $600,000.

Participants will stand the chance to win prizes, including overseas stays at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

The non-competitive run comes with two distance options; 3.5 and 10km.

The Executive Challenge will also return for the second time this year.

Fundraising efforts at the hotels have already brought in $3,800 so far.

Online registration opens today on www.runforhope.sg. Participants and supporters committed to the cause can also make an online donation.
