S.League: Three see red as Home nick victory

Home United kept their Great Eastern-Yeo's S.League title hopes alive by beating Tanjong Pagar 2-1 in a heated encounter at the Queenstown Stadium last night.

Home defender Sirina Camara put the visitors in front in the 12th minute, before Jaguars midfielder Sebastien Etiemble equalised six minutes later.

Three red cards in seven minutes turned the match on its head during the second half.

First, Tanjong Pagar's Kamel Ramdani was given his marching orders for a tackle from behind in the 75th minute.

Home's Yasir Hanapi then saw red for two yellow card offences three minutes later, before Tanjong Pagar's Monsef Zerka was sent off in the 81st.

Bruno Castanheira then struck the winner for the Protectors in the 87th minute to snatch the win.

Home climb to third place in the standings with the victory, four points behind leaders DPMM, who have a game in hand.
