Slingers win again

The Singapore Slingers picked up their fourth ASEAN Basketball League win of the season when they beat Indonesia Warriors 80-59 yesterday at the OCBC Arena at the Singapore Sports Hub.

Kyle Jeffers and Wong Wei Long each contributed 18 points, while Ng Han Bin came up big off the bench with 12 points and six rebounds.

Al Vergara added 10 points as the Slingers made it two victories on the trot, after beating the Saigon Heat 77-74 last week.

Their only blemish of the day came when the ever-improving Larry Liew had to be replaced due to a finger injury with less than four minutes left in the first quarter, where the Slingers took a 24-11 lead that they held till the end.
