S'pore GP: It is a 'hot' race

With just three weeks to the 2014 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, over 80 per cent of tickets have been snapped up.

Race promoters Singapore GP Pte Ltd yesterday announced that seven ticket categories are already sold out and limited tickets remain for the Bay Grandstand, three-day Premier Walkabout and Sunday Pit Grandstand tickets.

The hospitality suites for the night race along the Marina Bay street circuit are also experiencing brisk sales.

Limited availability remains for individual tables at the Formula One Paddock Club as well as selected locations in the Sky and Club suites.

Said Michael Roche, executive director of Singapore GP: "The combination of the all-new Formula 1 technology, the Masters Historic Formula 1 cars debuting on our street circuit, as well as the spectacular concerts featuring Jennifer Lopez and John Legend, has appealed to a wide audience.

"We are certain that there is something at the Marina Bay Street Circuit for everyone to enjoy, and we want to reward our fans by offering amazing experiences for the ultimate memorable weekend."

One of the incentives is a meet-and-greet session with one of the headline acts during the three-day event.

Ticket holders who have purchased a pair of tickets for the night race could win a pair of exclusive passes to meet Jennifer Lopez, Robbie Williams, John Legend, Pet Shop Boys or Ziggy Marley.

To participate in the lucky draw, patrons should register their ticket transaction number at www.singaporegp.sg by Sept 8.

Tickets to the 2014 Singapore Grand Prix are available from $158, and can be purchased online at www.singaporegp.sg, via the ticketing hotline (+65 6738 6738), as well as at all SISTIC outlets.
