BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global between Serena Williams and Simona Halep at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 26 Oct 2014. Serena Williams beat Simona Halep 6-3, 6-0.

Serena Williams won more than just the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global yesterday.

Following her fifth triumph at the WTA's season finale, she had the Dendrobium Pramot x Burana Charming named after her.

Since 1957, over 100 orchid hybrids have been named after state visitors and VIPs as a gesture of goodwill.
