SINGAPORE'S Under-17 teams both suffered narrow defeats on the penultimate day of action at the Asian Youth Water Polo Championships at the Toa Payoh Complex on Sunday.
The boys' team went down 17-16 to Indonesia after a penalty shootout while the girls lost 15-14 to Sri Lanka to finish last among the seven teams in the competition. The boys will fight for seventh spot against Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
Later in the evening, Japan will have the chance to win both boys' and girls' competitions as they will take on against Iran and China respectively.
