S'pore U-22 bowlers shine again

Another leg, another one-two finish for Singapore's keglers at the Asian Intercity Bowling Council Under-22 Circuit.

Tay Hui Yen defeated compatriot Charlene Lim 255-169 to win the second leg of the circuit, held at the Endah Parade Mega Lanes in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Tay came up tops in a field of 48 bowlers from six Asian countries. Kuek Qi En, who won the Singapore leg in March, finished seventh.

The new series is meant to enhance competitiveness among bowlers who are 22 and below and have not competed for their national or national youth teams in any major competition.

The next leg will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, next month before the Grand Finale in San Juan, Philippines later this year.
