Table tennis competition for veterans

Veteran paddlers aged 35 and above will strut their stuff for their respective clubs at the inaugural Ellen Lee Cup-STTA National Veteran Table Tennis Championships from March 7 to 8.

Jointly organised by the Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) and Woodlands Community Sports Club, the mixed-team event aims to promote active ageing by encouraging senior citizens to participate in sport.

The tournament will feature seven categories divided by age groups.

These include several men's singles events for participants aged between 40 and 60, and a mixed-doubles event for partners with the combined age of 80.

The women's singles event is open to those aged 35 and above.

Matches begin at 10am at Woodlands Galaxy Community Club on both days.

Details are available at STTA's website.
