Things going swimmingly for hosts at SEA Games

Singapore's synchronised swimming team captured the nation's first SEA Games gold in the sport last night.

The team totalled 150.8445 points to dethrone reigning champions Malaysia (146.5204) in the team free finals.

The Republic also bagged two more golds yesterday, taking the overall total to five. Yesterday's other golds came from the table tennis mixed doubles pair of Yu Mengyu and Yang Zi, and fencer Wang Wenying in the women's foil.
