SINGAPORE - Singapore will continue to host one leg of the Fina World Cup (short course) up to 2017, at least.
Singapore Swimming Association president Jeffrey Leow said yesterday: "We have signed up with Fina to host this event for another four years.
"The even better news is that from next year, the venue will be the aquatic centre at the Sports Hub (moving from the Singapore Sports School).
"We're all waiting with bated breath... but I'm told that the design and construction will be fantastic so take my word for it, Singapore always does it right."
Singapore is the sixth stop out of eight meets in this year's series, and the first of the three-stop Asian cluster that includes Tokyo (Nov 9-10) and Beijing (Nov 13-14).
Tickets for today and tomorrow ($20 for a day, $30 for both days) are available at www.finaworldcup.com.sg. For details, call 6258 1011.
