Set to enhance its customers' flying experience, AirAsia Indonesia has introduced an e-boarding pass service for all domestic flights departing from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.
Starting from May 5, all of the carrier's passengers can obtain the pass by performing self check-in through AirAsia's mobile application. Once completed, they will automatically receive an e-boarding pass on their smartphone.
At the airport, a passenger without luggage may directly proceed to the boarding gate where an AirAsia staff member will verify their identity and scan the e-boarding pass. Passengers with luggage may drop their luggage at the baggage drop counter before proceeding to the boarding gate.
Do note that the e-boarding pass is not available for more than one passenger in one booking number nor for Fly-Thru bookings.
AirAsia has plans to introduce the e-boarding pass at several hubs for both domestic and international flights at a later date.
