Delhi airport tops for service quality

The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) was placed first in the Airport Service Quality award by the Airports Council International, for the category of handling 25 to 40 million passengers per annum.

The airport scored 4.9 out of 5 points, a marked improvement from 3.02 in 2007. It was placed second from 2011 to 2013.

As many as 40 million passengers flew from IGIA to 58 domestic and 62 international destinations in 2014-15.

The average number of flights for the period was 885 a day, with 696,600 metric tonnes of cargo being handled.
