Drunk Australian arrested for causing ruckus in Penang airport

A drunk Australian man was arrested at the Penang International Airport after causing a ruckus, Harian Metro reported.

The incident, which occurred at 3pm on Tuesday, saw the man in his 30s shouting at the top of his voice near the departure hall.

A police spokesman said the man, who was waiting for the arrival of a fellow Aussie from Kuala Lumpur, was screaming "like a mad man".

"We later learnt that the man was angry at the long wait," the spokesman added.

The man, who was reportedly inebriated at the time, was later freed with a warning.
