SINGAPORE - Jurong Bird Park is dangling a Lao Jiao promotion in June for senior citizens to enter the attraction free, as it celebrates its 44th anniversary.
Lao Jiao, which means old bird, is a colloquial dialect. The Lao Jiao promotion starts from May 30 to June 30 and is for senior citizens aged 60 years and above.
Held in conjunction with the SG50 celebration, local residents can also enjoy a year-long membership for the price of a one day ticket.
Wildlife Reserves Singapore, which manages Jurong Bird Park, said in a statement today that there will be various game stations on weekends between June 6 to 28, such as chapteh, kuti kuti, tikam tikam, and even Snakes and Ladders.
Besides targeting families, Jurong Bird Park also has created a treasure hunt for families to explore its 5,000 birds across 400 species.
There will also be a show and tell about the tale of Sang Nila Utama.
