Jetstar looking for 'everyday Singaporean' to be featured on aircraft

SINGAPORE - Do you know a Singaporean who deserves to be honoured in a special and quirky way?

Jetstar has teamed up with local artist Michael Ng to design a unique livery featuring the face of an "everyday Singaporean" to celebrate Singapore's 50th birthday.

Established artist and illustrator Ng is looking for a person to be transformed onto the facade of a Jetstar A340 aircraft.

The airlines said they are not looking for public figures or celebrities, but people who make the lives of others around them a "little bit better".

Jetstar is asking the public to nominate someone who does just that.

The person can be a colleague, favourite hawker, friend or even a community leader, said the airlines.

To nominate the person, Singaporeans can go to the Jetstar Asia Facebook page and do so by May 17, 2015.

The winner's face will be incorporated into a special design, which will be used as the aircraft's livery. The design will be unveiled in conjunction with National Day 2015.
