Korean Air launches revamped Prestige Suites on Singapore route 

SINGAPORE - South Korea's largest airline, Korean Air, has revamped its luxury class with new Prestige Suites which have debuted on its A330-300 aircraft on its Singapore, Hanoi and Guangzhou routes.

The airline said the new prestige class cabin combined more comfort and privacy for its passengers with innovative offerings and ease of use.

Each seat is equipped with privacy panels and an ottoman for passengers to rest their feet or for a visitor to sit on.

The armrest can now automatically slide down and out of sight, giving the seat an increased width of 22.5 inches compared to the previous 21 inches.

The configuration of the seats has been updated so guests by the window will be able to pass into the aisle without disturbing others.

The new Prestige Suite has been equipped with enhanced in-flight entertainment system. The handset now features a touchpad which can be used like a smartphone.

Selecting a movie, flight information or music is just a touch away. Passengers can also enjoy shows and flight information on a higher resolution offered on a larger 17-inch screen.

In 2015, Korean Air plans to introduce a brand new first class to complement their Prestige class.

The airline has ordered 38 planes consisting of six A330-300s, 12 B777-300ERs, 10 B747-8is and 10 B787-9s. The new seats will also be available on the new aircraft.
