More foreign low cost carriers flying direct to Japan's local airports

A growing number of foreign low-cost carriers (LCCs) are offering direct flights to Japanese airports outside the Tokyo metropolitan area and the Kansai region.

The government is hoping to achieve its goal of bringing in 20 million foreign tourists annually before the target date of 2020, and such international routes are likely to assist in that aim.
