Most ridiculous travel requests tourists make

Travelling to another country can be nerve wrecking for some people and cause them to ask questions or have requests which can sound ridiculous.

British lifestyle and entertaiment site Daily Mail reported that American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) has revealed some of the strangest and in some cases, hilarious, questions and requests that they have faced in the last year.

To most, a honeymoon is a holiday for newlyweds to enjoy some time alone with each other.

However, an agent got asked by a traveller to book the honeymoon suite in a hotel for two couples.

Another agent also got a strange honeymoon request to book a holiday for the groom, bride and her mother.

Sneaky requests also come by every now and then.

A traveller requested an agent to book a room for him and his wife, and then asked for another room booked for his girlfriend at the other end of the hotel.

Some tourists are also not familiar with geography and countries can appear "closer" than they are in reality.

A traveller wanted to visit Scotland and Denmark during his trip.

But when he was told there was not enough time, he remarked: "But they are only an inch apart on the map".
