Nanjing flight forced to land after passenger claims bombs on plane

Air China flight CA1336, flying from Nanning to Beijing, was forced to make an emergency landing in the Chinese city of Chongqing after a passenger claimed that there were bombs on board the plane.

Police, ambulance vehicles, and firefighters were all deployed to the scene, and pictures posted by passengers on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo show SWAT teams going onto the aircraft after it had landed.

Frighteningly enough, this isn't the first on-flight bomb scare passengers in China have had to deal with recently, reports Shanghaiist.

Earlier this month, a man was detained for 10 days after threatening to blow up a Nanchang-bound plane at the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport because it was delayed. The act delayed the flight for an additional hour.
