Qatar Airways offers flight sale to celebrate new aircraft

SINGAPORE - Qatar Airways is offering a six-day flight sale starting today (April 14) to celebrate the up-coming debut of its new A350 XWB aircraft.

Travellers from Singapore can purchase flights to cities such as Barcelona, London, Paris and Rome, with prices starting from $1,065 during the sale, which ends on April 19.

The promotional fares are valid for travel from now till November 30, 2015.

Qatar Airways is the only airline to fly the A350 XWB, which is the world's newest wide-body aircraft.

Singapore will be only the second route for the aircraft, which now flies twice-daily to Frankfurt from Qatar.

The double-daily service to Singapore is currently operated by Dreamliner planes and will be replaced by the new A350 XWB aircraft, said the airlines.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr Akbar Al Baker, said Singapore is an important and strategic market for Qatar Airways.

Thus, Singapore has been chosen as the first Asian country to receive the A350 XWB aircraft in May.

He also shared that passengers can be assured of a modern fleet while flying with the A350 XWB.

It is serviced with the airlines' award-winning five-star hospitality as well as the international state-of-the-art Hamad International Airport, he added.

The Business Class cabin has 36 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and features an 80-inch full flat bed and 17-inch HD in-flight entertainment screen.

The aircraft also offers advanced air conditioning technology and LED mood lighting to enhance comfort for the passengers.
