A quickie with Georgia May Jagger

A quickie with Georgia May Jagger

There's no doubt about it, this British supermodel is as stunning in person as she is photogenic! And when the 23-year-old flashes her gap-toothed smile it just adds to her charm.

It's no wonder that Georgia May Jagger represented British fashion at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony with fellow supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Lily Donaldson.

The youngest daughter of superstar rocker Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall was in Kuala Lumpur on May 28, at the launch reception of British Airways' inaugural flight from London to Kuala Lumpur. The first flight arrived here at 2.35pm the same day with the non-stop route offering daily flights on the Boeing 777-200ER.

This was British Airways' return to Malaysian shores after a break of almost 14 years and at the reception at the British High Commissioner's Residence in KL, shoe couturier Datuk Jimmy Choo was also spotted.

Both of them had lent their star power, together with Malaysian icon and international actress Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, to a photo shoot to commemorate the flight against a stunning backdrop of another icon, the Petronas Twin Towers.

Jagger was quite the star at the reception where she came dressed in a coral pink halter neck with plunging neckline cocktail dress accentuated with a bow and layers. Her boyfriend Josh McLellan, who accompanied her, seemed as enthralled by her as the rest of the crowd. She was accommodating and most everyone who asked, got to have their picture taken with her.

Various attempts for a brief quick interview though proved difficult but eventually Jagger's publicist allowed it on one condition. It was so specific that we cannot tell you if she can move like Jagger - that question was not allowed.

We were told the one question and it had to be: "What do you like about Malaysia?" Cue Malaysia Truly Asia!

So Georgia, tell me what you do you like about Malaysia?

"We went to the Batu Caves and the Bird Park this morning and it was quite delightful. I really enjoyed it and I would recommend Batu Caves to my fellow Brits. I shot so many pictures because I really like taking pictures," enthused Jagger.

She uploaded some of those pictures to her Instagram account (@georgiamayjagger) one of which had over 13,300 likes. She has 645,000 followers.

Jagger kindly gave some tips for fellow travellers on board British Airways flights. "Get lots of sleep and in between, watch some movies, not sad depressing ones, go for the comedies."

And with that we bid you good night and sweet dreams filled with laughter and monkeys at Batu Caves.
