SIA frequent flyers can soon redeem miles on Scoot and Tigerair

SINGAPORE - Frequent Singapore Airlines (SIA) flyers will be able to redeem rewards on Scoot and Tigerair from April 2015.

In a press release today, Singapore Airlines said that its KrisFlyer members will be able to redeem their miles for vouchers for travel on Scoot or Tigerair flights, or to pay for selected products offered by the two low-cost carriers.

Plans are also afoot to offer members the option to collect miles while flying on Scoot and TigerAir by the end of the year.

Ms Lee Wee Fen, Singapore Airlines senior vice president, marketing planning, said: "We are very pleased to be bringing Scoot and Tigerair into the KrisFlyer family and to offer our members more ways to use their miles."

She added that including the two carriers as KrisFlyer partners helped the airline live up to its promise to constantly offer more benefits to its members.

Mr Campbell Wilson, Scoot CEO, said that its great destinations will also provide more options for KrisFlyer members to make use of their miles.

Mr Lee Lik Hsin, Tigerair Group CEO added: "Our growth over the last decade is made possible only with the support of our passengers, of whom many are frequent flyers. We are hence delighted to participate in the KrisFlyer programme."
