8-year-old blood disorder patient pledges to donate organs

An eight-year-old thalassemia patient in China has pledged to donate his organs after he dies, Kwong Wah Yit Poh reported.

"If I am not able to recover from my sickness, please donate my eyes to other people so that I can see you forever," Zhou told his grandfather, who is taking care of him.

His grandfather had been caring for him in their home in Wuhan as his parents had to work long hours to pay for his medical fees.
