New drug peddled in M'sian clubs

A new party drug called Liquid Ecstasy is now being peddled openly in Malaysian night clubs by syndicates.

The liquid drug, which produces similar effects as methamphetamine or Ecstasy, is sold as an aphrodisiac in small bottles to night club revellers.

Two alleged ringleaders were nabbed near a fast-food outlet in Seremban, in Negeri Sembilan, on Saturday, Malaysia's New Straits Times reported.

Police recovered 392,000 Erimin 5 pills, 1.4kg of ketamine, 88g of syabu powder, 2,325 Ecstasy pills, as well as 38g and 835ml of Ecstasy in powder and liquid forms, after a raid based on the arrest.
