Visitors to the Health & You exhibition next month can attend seminars and workshops to increase their knowledge of health matters.
There are a few to choose from.
The Health Promotion Board has a programme for adults aged 18 to 49 which aims to equip them with the knowledge and skills to optimise their mental well-being.
The programme is made up of a series of workshops and will include modalities such as movies, role-playing and scenario-based interventions as mechanisms to get the learning objectives across.
It will be conducted by Dr Wolff von Auer, a hypnotherapist and author.
Those interested in attending the seminar should e-mail their names and contact details to HPB_MHE@hpb.gov.sg or register at the HPB Booth, S1, at the Health & You Exhibition 2014 before 3pm on Aug 16. The talk starts from 6pm.
A workshop conducted by dietitian Goh Yih Shian will focus on women's health and well-being.
You can learn how to modify your recipes, shop and eat wisely, and lower your risk of disease.
Ms Goh will talk about nutrition and healthy eating, physical activity, mental wellness and regular health screening for women.
She will also talk about eating disorders, and chronic disease management for conditions such as diabetes.
Her role is to improve her patients' quality of life by managing their health through diet.
