Non-fare business lifts SMRT’s profit to $91m
SMRT’s core MRT business incurred its maiden quarterly operating loss of $2.4 million as the group continued to ramp up staff strength due to an expanding train fleet and in preparation for the opening of the Tuas West Extension next year. But the full-year operating profit for the business rose to $13.4 million.
