Osman vows to KO Lim in 1st round

SINGAPORE - If hell has no fury like a woman scorned, the fiery depths better beat a path of retreat from Ann Osman, as she bids to avenge a loss to Singapore's Sherilyn Lim next month.

The Malaysian mixed martial arts fighter is still bristling with indignation after being on the wrong end of a disputed points loss to Lim at last October's ONE Fighting Championship show at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

This time, the 27-year-old from Sabah does not intend to leave anything to chance.

"I'm going to knock her out in the first round and finish it quickly," declared Osman.

"I learnt a lot from that fight and I have been working on a lot of different aspects to my technique, as well as my strength and conditioning.

"I was disappointed to lose and I thought there were some questionable calls from the referee and I don't want that to happen again.

"It has all been a learning curve for me and I'm very glad this rematch has been made."

The return fight takes place in Kuala Lumpur on March 14 and Osman hopes home advantage will give her an extra boost to defeat her rival in the straw-weight showdown.

"It's a fight so I have to expect the unexpected, but having the crowd behind me will really help," said the fighter who goes by the ring name of Athena.

"I know Sherilyn will be training the hardest she has ever done and I am doing the same.

"This is going to be a great fight, just like the first one, but I will be the winner."

The nine-fight card also contains contests involving Brock Larson and Peter Davis, as well as a mouth-watering showdown between Kotetsu Boku and Arnaud Lepont.
