Other things to do this weekend if you're not going to the F1 races

Formula One Grand Prix has been a permanent fixture in Singapore for about seven years now, and it's been nothing short of amazing, year on year.

However, those of you who are not going to the races can still get a taste of the high-octane action of F1 weekend with these exciting activities!

1. Test your driving skills

Uber is bringing back their Supercars on Demand service this Saturday, September 17 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

You might get an opportunity to drive around the city in a swanky Snapchat-worthy Lamborghini Huracan, Lamborghini Gallardo, McLaren MP4-12c or Ferrari California, for free!

How it works:

Open the Uber app between 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday, September 17, 2016.

Move the slider to the "Supercar" option to the right.

If a supercar is available, an Uber will arrive to pick you up and bring you to your starting point.

From there, you will get to drive either a Lamborghini, McLaren or Ferrari around the city for 15 minutes - completely free of charge.

Visit Uber here for all the details.

2. Go behind the scenes

A full scale replica of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team garage will be open to the public so you'll get to experience what goes behind the scenes of the racing team.

You can also get up-close with the dynamic Mercedes-AMG GT S, which is also the official safety car of the 2016 FIA Formula One World Championship.

Fans of the dapper Nico Rosberg will be chuffed to know that the driving superstar will be making an appearance at ION Orchard's L1 Atrium on September 15, 2016. If you are able to predict his fastest race day lap time, you stand a chance to win signed F1 merchandise from him!

The showcase is located at the Atrium of ION Orchard, from September 10 to 18, 2016, 10 am to 10pm daily.

Ce La Vi has created a special menu that will be served exclusively during the week of the F1 race. This nine-course dinner will include opulent dishes the likes of fresh oysters, air-flown Hokkaido scallop, foie gras, lobsters, Angus beef carpaccio and more.

Apart from the tantalising gastronomical experience, you'll get to enjoy breathtaking views from atop the iconic Marina Bay Sands rooftop.

Ce La Vi's Night Race Week 2016 tasting menu will be served from September 14 to September 21, 2016, from 6.30pm until 11.30pm. Prices start from $208++ per pax. Full menu available here.

4. Party in style

Many F1 parties boast an exorbitant entry fee, so we've hunted down this little gem of a find for you guys.

We're referring to Sofitel's two Formula One parties at their HI-SO rooftop pool bar. What's in it for you?

For starters, the hotel will be airing all races on their larges screens on September 16, so you can head out with your partner and girlfriends and cheer on your favourite Formula One teams together. Best part? There's no cover charge.
