The National Foods Limited in Australia has announced an immediate recall of its Yoplait yoghurt products because of possible metal contamination. These are Baby Yoplait and Yoplait Elivaé Yoghurt.
The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) has advised importers and retailers to recall all the products which may have been affected immediately.
Consumers who have bought the implicated products are advised to discard these products and not consume them.
National Foods Ltd states that the recall of the products is only a precautionary measure.
The products to be recalled in Australia are:
Baby Yoplait products with Best before Dates from 4/11/2007 to 22/11/2007 as follows:
- Baby Yoplait Vanilla- Pack of 4x100g
- Baby Yoplait Vanilla & Banana- Pack of 4x100g
- Baby Yoplait Peach & Pear- Pack of 4x100g
- Yoplait Elivaé products with Best before Dates from 10/11/2007 to 17/11/2007 as follows:
- Yoplait Elivaé Vanilla - Pack of 4x150g
- Yoplait Elivaé Fig & Honey - Pack of 4x150g
- Yoplait Elivaé Pear with Yoplait Elivaé Prune - Pack of 4x150g
- Yoplait Elivaé Strawberry with Yoplait Elivaé Vanilla - Pack of 8x150g
- Yoplait Elivaé Vanilla with Yoplait Elivaé Prune - 8x150g
However, National Food Limited has notified its local importer that Baby Yoplait Vanilla & Banana (Best before date: 11/11/2007, Pack of 4x100g) has been imported to Singapore.
