Call this thinking out of the box.
This Christmas, Soo Kee Jewellery has created a record breaker of a musical box. Complete with revolving motorized platform, a life-size model of a ballerina, measures 3.4m x 3m, it was also draped with larger-than-life baubles when we visited it at Bugis Junction yesterday evening.
Its size has given it a space in the Guinness Book of Records, and there will be weekend performances by a children's choir and ballerinas for shoppers to go and gawk.

But there is also another record-breaker on display. A one-of-a-kind jewellery box has been crafted with a 3,110 diamonds totaling over 41 carats, 2,117 rubies and sapphires. This box holds the record for being encrusted with the most number of precious gems.
The price: a whopping $2.35million.
For anyone with the dough to spare and looking to impress your significant other, this jewellery box would be at the top of your list.
But for the rest of us who will never even get to sniff that kind of moolah, you can always spend $50 at Bugis Junction from Dec 7 - 31 and hope that Lady Luck smiles on you and lets you win a baby version of the box, which is worth a decent $58, 898, for your loved ones.
