If you haven't already been bitten by the fashion bug, you need to know that tickets to shows at the Singapore Fashion Festival 2008 are available for purchase now.

Matthew Williamson's Spring Summer 2008 collection will be presented at the Opening Gala, which is inclusive of a dinner as well. For $350, you get to mingle with fashionistas in high society, rub shoulders with the British designer himself and get treated to a rare appearance by British supermodel Erin O Connor. And you even get to contribute your bit to charity, as a portion of the proceeds will go to the Singapore Fashion Festival, which is the event's adopted charity.

But there are other shows - at a more affordable price of $10 - throughout the 10-day fashion event which are still up for grabs. This year, with Asian designers in the limelight, watch out for local fashion talent turned international celebrity designer Ashley Isham as he presents his Autumn/Winter 2008 collection.

Other Asian designers, Qiu Hao from China and Ritu Kumar from India, will make their debut on the Singapore stage during the 10-day festival. The public will also be able to view their collection from the runway.

For spectacular backdrops and dramatic effects, book a date with Robinson's Theatre of Style. Guests will be taken on a theatrical journey that combines the fast forward couture of Robinsons' hottest labels with a touch of nostalgia to celebrate its 150th anniversary. Another first will be a viewing gallery to give guests a behind-the-scenes peek at the Christian Dior Parfums make-up team as they create the season's haute couture looks.
