FORD Motor has begun talks in earnest with parties interested in buying its Jaguar and Land Rover divisions. The groups include India's Tata and Mahindra & Mahindra. The latter has had joint ventures with Ford in India before. Other suitors include private investment outfits like JPMorgan Chase's One Equity Partners (where former Ford chief Jacques Nasser works) and New York-based Ripplewood Holdings (which has hired retired Ford COO Nick Scheele as an adviser).
