MALAYSIA: A construction worker raped a mentally retarded woman several times after offering her some pau (buns), reported Harian Metro.

The 26-year-old woman is now six months pregnant.

A relative said the construction worker, who is also a neighbour, frequently visited their house when the victim was home alone.

"She (the victim) told us that he always came to our home in Cheras offering her pau before she was raped," said the relative, adding that they believe she was raped a few times last year.

The family confronted a 63-year-old man, suspected to be the rapist, but the man denied the allegations, saying that he was suffering from erectile dysfunction and was incapable of having sex.

A police report has been lodged and a suspect arrested.
