JERUSALEM - A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip on Monday exploded in Israeli territory but caused no damage or injuries, a military spokeswoman said.
'The rocket exploded in a field near the Nir-Am kibbutz, causing no injuries or damage,' she told AFP.
The kibbutz is located across from the Gaza Strip in the western Negev desert.
According to an Israeli army count, at least 265 rockets and mortar shells have been fired at Israel since the end of the Jewish state's offensive against the Gaza Strip's Hamas rulers at the turn of the year.
