Eight more schools to offer direct admission
A total of 74 can now assess students on wider range of skills. -ST
By Tessa Wong IN AN effort to expand opportunities for Singapore's youth, eight more schools are taking part in the direct school admission exercise for secondary schools this year, bringing the total to 74. This exercise differs from the regular Secondary 1 posting exercise by allowing students to highlight co-curricular talents in a wider range of areas - from dance to robotics and niche sports. It also gives schools greater flexibility in selecting students, as the latter are judged on both their academic and non-academic talents.
