FACED with a growing demand for people to help those in need, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) have turned to a polytechnic for help.

As a result, Nanyang Polytechnic (NP) will offer a new three-year Diploma in Social Sciences (Social Work) course from next year.

The course will help train 'social work associates' to help strapped social workers go about their business with greater efficiency.
