Community effort needed for water security: Tony Tan

SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan was at the launch of the World Water Day at the Marina Barrage on March 24, Saturday, reported The Straits Times.
A record 25,000 people turned up at 15 different locations on the island to mark annual World Water Day.
The President recognised that Singapore has come a long way its hydro journey but pointed out that a collective effort from the local community will be needed to maintain the Republic's water security.
He continued to add that increasing demands for water and the climate changes add to the uncertainty over future water supply.
