SINGAPORE - Student Anthea Wang, 16, emerged as the winner of the Singapore leg of reality talent show tvN K-Pop Star Hunt S2.
She was followed close behind by Indonesian-Chinese events organiser and runner-up Rendy Lauwady, 20, The Straits Times reported.
The two will will jet off to Seoul in October to receive professional training from Cube Entertainment. There, they will embark on their transformation into a K-Pop star through training, make-over and photo shoots.
Ultimately, they will compete with other regional finalists from countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand in a showdown where one ultimate winner will be crowned.
The winner will receive professional training to be a K-Pop singer and have the opportunity to release an album in Korea. They will also make a debut stage appearance on awards show Mnet Asian Music Awards 2013.
The reality competition will premiere on tvN (StarHub TV Channel 824/874 HD) on Nov 24, Saturday.
