HONG KONG - Concert promoter Live Nation, which announced a landmark deal with Madonna last year, is reportedly looking to lure Faye Wong out of her hiatus.
According to Apple Daily, Live Nation will launch an Asian division in Hong Kong this year.
Rumours are rife that when music executive Hung Tik leaves Universal to head Live Nation's Asian office, his top priority will be signing on pop queen Wong.
The 38-year-old star is on an indefinite break from showbiz. She has become a Beijing housewife after she married actor Li Yapeng in 2005.
The report says she may be offered HK$100 million (S$17 million) for her comeback.
Her agent Katie Chan tells the newspaper that she has not heard from Hung officially.
But she says: 'It depends on the form of collaboration. If they don't need Faye to do publicity, talks will be easier.'
