This handy book provides answers to essential questions visitors may have. Published by Bluedale Publishing (M) Sdn Bhd on a quarterly basis, the guidebook has colour-coded pages for easy reference.
The different sections include a brief history of Kuala Lumpur, sights and attractions, shopping, accommodation, food, entertainment, recreation and activities and special features.
Publisher Lyndon Yap said 50,000 copies are distributed free at various entry points like the airport. Copies are also available at tourist information centres. Yap adds that he has also received bulk requests from conference organisers for distribution to foreign conference participants.
"Response has been good since we produced the first edition early last year and now we plan to produce guidebooks for other cities in the country as well," says Yap.
"By August, the on-line version of KL The Guide will be available and to view it, visit www.bluedale.com.my. This will further allow visitors to learn about Kuala Lumpur from anywhere as long as they have access to the Internet.
"We have taken into account all the items that needed to be put into the 130-page book which is small, light and handy to carry around."
