Targus Zip-Thru 15.4" Corporate Traveller Laptop Case

TRAVELLERS passing through security checkpoints at airports have to remove laptops from their carrybags for screening.

Not everyone is happy with this arrangement - it is troublesome and there is also the risk of the laptop being scratched or even dented.

There is now a new type of carrybag that is checkpoint- friendly - the laptop can stay in the bag and yet be detected by the scanner. The first such products introduced in the United States have been well-received.

Targus' checkpoint-friendly laptop case has a split design which separates the laptop from its accessories, allowing for clear X-ray scanning.

It also features the patented SafePORT Air Cushion System for maximum laptop protection.

Ergonomic features include nylon handles wrapped with leather for comfort and a padded shoulder strap with non-slip coating on the pad to keep the strap in place. The bag is made of durable ballistic 1680-denier nylon and weighs 1.7kg.

How much: Price not fixed but likely to be about US$100 (S$142). Launch date to be announced.
