Green tea comes in many shapes and forms at the new OChaCha cafe in Raffles City's rambling basement. It's in cold and hot drinks, cakes and even panna cotta.

The last ($3.90+) is a big cup of thick green tea-flavoured cream - more creme brulee than panna cotta, really. Name aside, it tastes bittersweet, silky and satisfying.

The Matcha Cotton ($2.90+), an airy cupcake with a yummy centre of sweet cream, is a hit too. My brother and I liked it so much that when we went there last week, I bought a few more as takeaways.

As for drinks, try the Azuki Freezzie ($6.50+ or $7.20+). It is the usual Japanese dessert of green tea ice-cream with red beans, but blended into a slurp-friendly form. Nice.

For the health-conscious, there is the OChaCha Silk ($4.80+ or $5.20+) or hot green tea with soya milk. To me, powdered tea and soya bean are flavours too distinct to mix well together. Still, the drink does taste natural and nourishing.
